Our founder
Loveness, founder of Loveness Lee has been a trained jeweller for over 10 years. She remembers the moment she first got her hands on a set of jewellers tools...
“I just sunk into it so naturally and I knew without a doubt that I wanted to make jewellery forever and to create a platform to share my vision of what a true unison between nature and jewellery can be.”
This was the true beginning of Loveness Lee Jewellery.
Having grown up in China with her architect mother, Loveness quickly developed a taste for the world of art, design and craftsmanship. Her early memories include creating traditional Chinese calligraphy paintings with a keen interest in the way the brushstrokes marked the paper. This developed into an interest in fine art and sculpture, where the idea of wearable art came, in the form of jewellery. Loveness’ earlier works display her fascination in abstract shapes and forms, a reflection of her childhood memories.

Upon moving to the UK, Loveness studied jewellery design at an extensive list of top London based universities. Starting at Central Saint Martins, Middlesex University and rounding it off with an MA at the well renowned Sir John Cass Faculty at London Metropolitan University. It was during this time that she decided to take on the world as a young entrepreneur. Her BA final collection would play a role in what she describes as a “happy accident” - where she decided to use nature as a collaborator in creating serendipitous designs that allow abstract, free-flowing forms pre-existing in nature to take the lead in the design process. This technique has carried through to the present day with each Loveness Lee collection being inspired by different textures found in nature.

With the natural world having a huge part to play in Loveness’ inspiration and design process, she’s always on the lookout for fresh ideas. This means taking trips to scenic locations and nature walks are commonplace during her time away from the business. Being an appreciator of art in all its forms, she also winds down by Salsa and Bachata dancing in her free time.
Since starting Loveness Lee back in 2017, Loveness has and continues to build her brand with growing collections, media and press features, celebrity clientele and stockists around the world. In 2019, she opened the first Loveness Lee Store located in the Oxo Tower London. It has been described as “walking into her brain” with its rough, organic interiors and array of dried flowers on display. The space doubles up as a workshop where all pieces are made, meaning customers can observe the team handcrafting the jewellery whilst browsing the store. In the future, she plans to have equivalent stores around the world.
